Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr exhibition fight: The best and interesting combat sports events of the year -- and probably all-time -- takes place on Saturday with a card headlined by an exhibition between Mike and Roy Both men being a combined 105 years old and the event being managed under exhibition rules, it will draw more attention than almost every combat sports event in 2020.

Both are legendary combat athletes and the greatest boxers to ever lace up a pair of boxing gloves, it's unexpectable both men to compete at the level at which they did in their youth. But what should be expected from the event?

The first thing everybody should know when it comes to purchasing this match -- which airs on pay-per-view for $49.99 -- is that it isn't supposed to be a fight.

As reported to Andy Foster, executive director of the California State Athletic Commission, fans shouldn't be excited about the idea that this will be a "fight-fight" the boxers have been brief that they are predicted to engage in nothing outside of "hard sparring" and are not to attempt to knock each other out. If both men suffer a cut or any other injury, the fight will immediately be closed.

Iron-Mike most young pro fights came all the way back in 2005 when he quit on the stool in the case of Kevin McBride. The Tyson of 2020 appears in a much better space mentally than the broken man of 15 years before. It's too realizable he's physically better, even if far older. But supposition should be reasonable on the kind of athlete stepping into the ring on Saturday night. Tyson has gone from a scary avatar of violence who spent some of his hard years in prison after a rape conviction to somehow becoming viewed as a weed-smoking, quick-to-tears grandpa.

Hope beyond the main event is equally hard to figure out. YouTube guide Jake Paul is set to face former NBA star Nate Robinson in the featured undercard bout. Any opinion on how that match will look is pure speculation. As is the overall presentation, with musical entertainment and other extravagant bits of enjoyment.

The event will cover famous ring announcer Michael Buffer, Jim Gray on interviews and commentary by Sugar Ray Leonard. At least in terms of broadcast quality, the event should be held well.

Return back to the fight between Iron and Roy, the former heavyweight champion George Foreman may have totalized up things best when recently speaking about the show and the unreliability of making a return to a ring at a leading age.

Road Trip
